Return Policy

Thank you for choosing an International Leather Source product. This is our return policy. If upon delivery you have any questions, feel free to call us or message us first.

If, on receipt of delivery the package is defective or damaged in any way, you should make a note on the bill of lading and inform the carrier immediately.

If, on receipt of deliver the leather proves to be defective or damaged in any way, you should immediately and within 24 hours of receiving the merchandise contact our Customer Service:

  1. In order to be able to process the matter and issue a Return Authorization we require the following information:
    • Reason why you wish to return the goods.
    • Please be as specific as possible, e.g. color differences, scratches, looseness, etc.
    • ILS’s order number and/or invoice number.
    • Product name, item number, grade.
    • Quantity: number of hides and/or Sq. Ft.
  2. If your claim is such that we accept the return of the leather, you will receive a Return Authorization Number by fax or e-mail.
    This document will include:

    • Return Authorization Number – this must always be specified on your return shipment. (OK to attach copy of the Return Authorization to your return.)
    • Packaging Instructions – These must be follow in full! We will not accept return of hides that are damaged or creased as a result of incorrect packaging. Such hides will be sent back to you and the cost of freight will be charged.
    • The Method of Shipment that you should use.
    • The Return Authorization is good for 10 days after issuance.
    • The authorization will be cancelled if your return has not been received by ILS within this time.
  3. We do not accept returns of:
    • Hides that have been completely or partly cut or punched.
    • Hides that been marked on either side with chalk.
    • Hides on which our markings/labels have been deleted, changed, or damaged in any other manner. Such hides will be sent back to you and the cost of freight will be charged.
  4. Normally we will accept return of non-defective merchandise (e.g. purchase of ‘wrong’ color). We will charge our handling costs at 0.55/SF and deduct that on the credit note along with any freight costs.
